Is FCS Electrical and Solar a licensed electrical contractor?
Yes. FCS Electrical and Solar holds Queensland Electrical Contractors Licence 91222. You can check any electrical contractor’s licence using the Queensland Government’s online electrical licence search, and it is worth doing before engaging anyone for electrical, solar or battery work.
Where are you based and which areas do you cover?
We are based in Buderim and work with homes and businesses across the Sunshine Coast, including Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Mountain Creek and Bli Bli. Send us your suburb and a short description of the job and we will confirm availability and next steps.
Can you install solar and handle the electrical work in one job?
Yes. Because we are both electricians and solar installers, we can assess your switchboard, carry out any electrical upgrades the system needs and complete the solar installation – one licensed team from the first site visit through to testing, commissioning and handover.
Do I need to upgrade my switchboard before adding solar or a battery?
Not always, but older switchboards can lack space, safety switches or capacity for new circuits. An electrician should inspect your board before solar, battery or EV charger work so any upgrade is identified upfront and included in the quote rather than discovered on installation day.
Do you work on commercial properties as well as homes?
Yes. Alongside residential work we provide commercial services including lighting installation and maintenance, emergency and exit light testing, test and tag, thermal imaging and electrical compliance inspections for businesses, property managers and body corporates.
When must Queensland homes have compliant smoke alarms?
All Queensland homes must have photoelectric, interconnected smoke alarms that meet the current law by 1 January 2027. Homes sold or leased have had to comply since 2022. If your home still has older or ionisation alarms, now is the time to book an upgrade.
